You know something’s funny when you recall some jokes and puns, right? That’s what happens in “The Portuguese – A Musical Comedy”, the first play that specifically caters to tourists visiting Portugal. The English-spoken play (with Portuguese subtitles) reveals the country’s most relevant 900-year adventures – and really makes you laugh!

Imagine a couple of tourists arriving in Lisbon and meeting our first king – Afonso Henriques – and his mother – Dona Teresa – on the subway. The storyline also includes a word battle between our two greatest poets, some fado, a brave female baker, the fog trauma, and of course football, starring the 5 times awarded with Ballon d’Or,  Cristiano Ronaldo doppelgänger (not so much!).

The Portuguese – a Musical comedy plays at the Casino Lisboa every Tuesday at 9.30 PM; Thursday and Saturday at 6.30 PM. Tickets start at €17,50 up to €27,50 (except on March 20th and 27th). Book it here.
