When our guests ask us for ideas on what to see in Lisbon, our SOMEMO (SOcial MEdia MObile Manager) Matheus Corbelini is always ready to help. Today, he suggests going to the Belem neighborhood, with a stop at LX Factory – one of the most creative hubs in the city. Both places feature several restaurants and cafés where you can have a nice lunch, and plenty more to explore.
Let Matheus tells you how to get there when departing from the Pestana CR7 Lisboa hotel and which are the main attractions in each area.
LX Factory and Belem – This is a lovely day to spend in Lisbon!
To start, I suggest you catch the tram 15E at the Comércio Square, a 2-minute walk from the hotel, and get off at the Calvário stop. Once down there, you’ll be a stone’s throw away from LX Factory, which is a former industrial complex with several restaurants, bars, shops, street art and full of companies of the creative industry.
Personally, my favorite places are Ler Devagar (an iconic bookstore) and Rio Maravilha (a bar and restaurant with an amazing view over the river and the 25 de Abril bridge).

After that, you are ready to head over to Belem. Walk back to Calvário tram stop and hop on the same tram, the 15E, and get off at Belem.
When in Belem, I suggest you go straight to the sights Jerónimos Monastery, Pastéis de Belém (home of the famous Portuguese custard tarts) and Belem Tower, which is farther away. Personally, I recommend you to visit CCB (a Cultural Center) and MAAT (Museum of Architecture, Art and Technology) as these not only feature great exhibitions but are also architectural masterpieces themselves.

To get back to the hotel, you’ll just need to hop on the same train on the opposite direction and stop at Praça do Comércio.
